NFH Submits Public Comment

The U.S. Forest Service is undergoing a significant reorganization as part
of a plan announced by Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins, which includes
closing all nine regional offices and consolidating operations. This
restructuring aims to reduce bureaucracy but has raised concerns about its
impact on staffing and service efficiency. NFH has worked with Regional
Special Uses staff for years to solve problems and help cabin owners. We
want to maintain the contacts and relationships that have been supportive of
the program.
