More Forest Service Turmoil

NFH is very troubled! On July 1, the Department of Agriculture posted in the
Federal Register proposed rule changes that will result in the loss of
rulemaking transparency, and introduce more inconsistent policies and chaos
across our National Forests. They did so, giving only a 30-day public
comment period. 

	
			

			
	
Speak Up, Act Today.

The Forest Service is seeking to change how decisions are made that impact
special uses permit holders, including cabin owners. We want the cabin
community to know what is being proposed and to speak up where it matters.
The details are complex but the bottom line is lack of notice, no obligation
to be transparent, and decrease the likelihood of a favorable decision upon
appeal. 

NFH has researched the issue and received advice from our attorney. We have
written a public comments template that you may personalize and submit.
Share this with your family, friends and cabin neighbors. Deadline July 31.
