2026 NFH Virtual Conference 
The USFS Chief Tom Schultz Speaking

Each year, we invite the Forest Service Chief to our annual conference. This
year, Chief Schultz accepted and will be speaking during the Washington
Update session on Saturday. 

In 2025, the administration announced a reorganization of the Forest
Service, including closing regional offices and relocating both national and
area offices to new locations. More recently, further rollout details were
announced including having FS offices aligned with some states. Many in the
cabin community would like to have more information and answers about the
plan for reorganization.

In addition to the Chief's participation, we have several Forest Service
staff who will be part of conference sessions and panels. Plus, we'll have a
full line-up of relevant topics for permit holders in the Recreation
Residence Program.  

For as little as $55 for our association members, you can attend all or some
of the sessions planned over two days.
