Just when you think you have things figured out, they change. The cabin
program is poised for changes. Will they be for the benefit of permit
holders or not? The National Forests are experiencing dramatic shifts and
bigger disasters. Will we be able to adapt and become more resilient?
NFH not only monitors for program and policy shifts that impact the cabin
program, but we also navigate a course to correct and resolve what isn't
working and to adapt in ways that reinforce positive change. 
It is no understatement to say that our spring annual conference is the most
valuable event of the year for the cabin community. Attendees at every NFH
conference are impressed and go away informed in ways they never
anticipated. For many, an unexpected reward of attendance is the networking
- with other cabin owners, tract leaders and Forest Service leadership.
