Please Remember:
Pay your permit fees to the Forest Service AFTER December 20, 2024. The FS
has extended time to pay to Feb 1, 2025. All fees paid after December 20
will go directly to the Forest Service for administration of this program
and other recreation, per the Cabin Fee Act.

NFH continues to work diligently on restoring the cabin program and
advancing our legislation to protect permit-holder rights. At the same time,
we take time to celebrate cabin culture and the unique tracts and locations
across the nation's forests. 
This issue highlights a fun community gathering in Minnesota, with cabin
owners enjoying the company of their larger community and tribal neighbors.
Plus a special anniversary for a tract association in Washington. 
The NFH Stewardship Committee is releasing a Framework for Emergency
Planning, which is posted on our website. You will find it on the Before a
