National Public Lands Day &
NFH Fall Forum
Saturday, Sept 28, 2024
Did you know that the last Saturday in September is National Public Lands
Day (NPLD)? Last year in 2023, NFH happened to be in Bozeman, MT for NPLD
and we volunteered to do some trailhead clean up and invasive plants
removal. It was fun and a great team-building experience!
Whether you volunteer on your National Forest or just enjoy the beauty of
nature, being a cabin owner means being a part of our public lands and the
recreational opportunities these lands afford everyone.
This year, we're holding our NFH Fall Forum in Boulder, Colorado - again on
NPLD. If you live in the area or your cabin is in the region, this is superb
opportunity to network with the cabin community. Our afternoon event
includes information about what we're doing at the national level to
advocate for and protect cabin owners, as well as how we can effectively
work with our Forest Service partners to sustain this valuable heritage
program.
We hear over and over again how much attendees appreciate the educational
and networking events we put on. The last time we were in Colorado was 9
years ago. Don't miss this opportunity to meet NFH leaders, ask questions of
Forest Service staff and make new friends. You won't regret it.
We'll serve refreshments too! Please join us for this afternoon of
rewarding interactions and practical information you can use as a permit
holder in this unique program.
